- First-hand knowledge from Government trade stakeholders i.e ITAC of measures being contemplated and protection for any of our tubular products being included.
- Rationalization of widths, thickness and quality of coil for standardization with suppliers
- A close relationship with the Southern African Institute of Steel Construction (SAISC) and their other sub - associations.
- Representation to South African Iron & Steel Institute (SAISI), Committee of Secondary Manufacturers Fund(COSM) and active participation on their Downstream Development Committee – DDC.
- Full support with any Anti-dumping petitions or other Industry issues.
- Import monitoring of all carbon steel tubular and ancillary products including Coil, Ductile Iron etc.
- SARS engagements in respect of mis-declaration of imports and related customs matters.
- Product standardization across the Tube & Pipe Industry to create uniformity.
- Liaison with DTI and Quasi organizations – BUSA, NEDLAC, MTTF etc.
- Awareness of your Company at our many Presentations for promotion of the Pipe and Tube Industry & our members’ products to arranged audiences where possible.

- The opportunity to meet regularly with other South African tube and pipe manufacturers in a safe, non-collusive environment and communicate on a collective basis to improve the industry.
